One of the ways that you can increase traffic to your blog is through backlinks. But of course, not just any link will do. It’s important to ensure that the sites or other blogs you associate yourself with are of good quality. That means you can’t possibly be linking to a porn site or a blog that tells you how to scam people online. While these domains may be popular with their own supporters, you can’t expect search spiders to put value on them. It’s true that links count as votes to your blog as far as search engines are concerned, but search spiders also take into account the kind of content that these links have before they could be counted as points for your blog to be indexed. This is especially important if you want to be making money blogging. You should always be discriminate with the domains you link up with. In other words, do not link up with sites or blogs that have questionable or poor quality content because they will do you more harm than good. The best links you can get then are those of authority sites. These are sites which people have grown to trust over the years due to their integrity and usefulness. When your have a lot of authority sites to link up with, search spiders are definitely going to put you on top of their indexing considerations. One obvious example of an authority site is Google. Everyday, this site handles billions of transactions from users all over the world and it has been reliable through the years. From searches to emails, there’s not a thread of doubt that this site has been exemplary. Every blogger’s aim should be to make his blog an authority on the Internet. This can take a very long time and you’ll probably be counting years to achieve this status. But on a day-to-day basis, you have to think of traffic. Traffic is, course, what makes your statistics rise. This means that more traffic you have, the more people believe in you and the closer your blog becomes to being considered authority. Building traffic, however, can be a tedious job. You need to ensure that you provide only reliable and quality information. That means the more content you have, the better. As always, the importance of content cannot be stressed enough. We’re not just looking for something to read here. We want something we can read and be happy about. And the more people you please with your content, the more they’ll keep coming back and the more recommendations they’ll give for others to check out your blog. Your page rankings are definitely part of the whole landscape that’s supposed your bring your blog to a status of authority. When you have more traffic, search spiders are going to take that as more people believing in you. Thus, you rise up the search engine rankings page or SERPs and the higher you go, again, the more people will be able read your blog and this will create even more traffic. Aside from the SERPs, you can also submit articles to article directories where you can provide even more links to your blog. The article directories you submit to should also be authority sites themselves. The road could long and tough and while you slowly work on achieving an authority status for your blog, don’t focus too much on blogging to make money. Instead, concentrate on giving your readers the best content you’ve got and eventually, your blog making money will become a increasingly clearer picture as time goes by.

Ideal Blogging For Money Three Fundamental Aspects

December 15, 2009 by admin

There are many things you can do to your blog make money online but there can only be a few essential elements that will make it more read and more profitable. Of course, your writing skills are given. You can’t possibly go and explore the other ways to make profit out of a blog if you’re not skilled in its technical aspect which includes writing. What you’d like to begin with when going over the basic ingredients of a good blog is a blog post’s title. Definitely, this has to be something that grabs readers’ attention. It should be direct and concise and, for the sake of search engine marketing, it must include a keyword. You know how powerful keywords are for search engines. A poor title means you just may have to stay in the shadows of the web until you come up with something better. Of course, a title with no keyword will probably end up low in the search engine rankings, if the post ever gets there. And then, you’ll also want to include a few keywords into your first or introductory paragraph. There’s a bit of sensitivity around this part, though. You have to make your keywords sound very natural or else everyone’s going to know it’s not a real paragraph that’s meant to information but rather one of mere strategy. Definitely, you want to tell your readers that you are serious about imparting your knowledge to them as your priority and not just to make money out of the interest that search engines take on your posts. Of course, for a blog post to be popular, it has to be informative. People should always be able to click away from your post and know that they learned something from you after reading it. The advertisements should be there because they’re the ones that actually bring in the money. But to make your readers feel as though money is all that’s important to you is probably the biggest turn off of all. You have to make your blog informative and marketable while still making people feel your sincerity. Dynamic blogs are also some of the best blogs you can make. Encourage your readers to comment or give their feedback. Or you can throw a topic to discuss so they can give their opinions and you can have real interaction with them. For readers, there’s nothing better than a blogger interacting with them so take advantage of that line of communication you have with your followers. As for bloggers, a blog making money is more than a welcome bonus. If you’re just planning to embark on a project like this, you can begin by researching on how to start a blog and then, of course, how to make it make money. These days, nothing is impossible and many things thought to be impossible are, in fact, some of the most normal day-to-day activities in the modern world.

Get Blog Jobs – Fun And Profitable If You Love Blogging

December 11, 2009 by admin

Top blogs are usually written by a group, rather than by a single individual, because high-traffic blogs are updated several times a day. This means that many, many blog jobs are available. All you have to do is look for them. However, before you start looking, create your own small blog first. Anyone who hires you will want to know that you understand the nature of blogging. Your blog should be in an area in which you want to be hired to blog. For example, if you have experience in health topics, then create a blog on a health topic. Or perhaps you enjoy celebrity gossip. This is a very popular topic in blogging, as it is in magazines, so create a celebrity gossip blog. With your own small blog created, it’s time to find blog jobs. Yes, that’s plural. Most professional bloggers blog for a stable of blogs. Several colleagues blog for ten to 20 blogs. One friend blogs for many businesses. At last count, he was blogging for 30 blogs, and making an extraordinary income. There are many ways you can find blogs jobs. The most common way is to approach a business which as a Web site, but which doesn’t have a blog, and to propose a blog to them. If you’re new to blogging, you may find this approach a little intimidating, so let’s look at other ways suitable for new bloggers. Here are three ways: 1. Use the out-sourcing sites There are dozens of out-sourcing sites, and you’ll find blog jobs advertised there. Bid on projects, but don’t under-price your services. All writing takes time, and if you under-bid, you’ll be too busy blogging to look for better paying blog jobs. So bid a sensible amount. Genuine buyers will hire you. 2. Approach other bloggers Another easy way to get blog jobs is to approach other bloggers. This is simple and it works, but although I’ve been blogging since 2001, I’m rarely approached. Maybe such a simple solution doesn’t occur to people. Since businesses who want to hire bloggers do approach me, I’m happy to make introductions, as are all bloggers. So politely approach bloggers, and ask that they keep you in mind to recommend for blog jobs. 3. Advertise your availability on your own site Please remember to advertise your availability on your own site. Again, this method is so simple that it’s often overlooked. I’ve lost count of the numbers of blogs I’ve seen of people I know are looking for blog jobs – but there’s no mention of this on their own blogs. If you want to learn more about Blogging to make money you are definitely on the right place. Blogging to make money is one of the most effective ways to make money online. Blog For Money – You Must Have Something To Sell

December 11, 2009 by admin

Blogging has become a successful home business for many people. It’s an easy business to start, because there are few or no start up costs. However, if you want to make money, you must have something to sell on your blog – create a “sales” blog. Although content-heavy blogs on which you sell advertising do make money, these blogs take time before they become profitable, simply because you need a lot of content. How much content? Since blogging has become mainstream, and there are many content blogs, it may take at least 500 to 1000 posts on a content blog for profitability. “Sales” blogs, which sell products or services, can be profitable with as few as ten to 20 blog posts. So aim for a sales blog, so your blog becomes profitable more quickly. Before you start blogging, you need a plan. Create your plan first, before you create your blog. It’s difficult to make money with a blog which hasn’t been set up as a money-maker from the start. Let’s look at four easy steps to developing a profitable sales blog. 1. Decide what you’ll sell on your blog To make money, your blog must sell something: a service, or a product. Many bloggers sell affiliate products from their blog. If you’ve been blogging for a while, you can sell your blogging services from your blog. 2. Make a list of the products, or services which you’ll sell If you’re selling as an affiliate, make a list of products you’ll sell – reviews of these products will form the basis of your blog articles. Many affiliate bloggers sell lots of products on a single blog. However, it will be more profitable to divide the products you’re selling into topics; then create a new blog for each topic. This means that each blog can be more focused, and this will mean more traffic. If you’re selling your own blogging services, set up the blog to do this. Write articles promoting each service you provide. Essentially, the blog becomes your online portfolio. 3. Start blogging, but keep SALES at the forefront of your mind Next, you can start writing blog posts. However, plan your posts. Planning is vital for a sales blog. For example, let’s say you’ve created a sales blog to sell affiliate products related to pets. You’ve collected ten affiliate products. Plan articles related to those ten products. You can create review-style articles, as well as general content articles with a link to one of your affiliate products. If you want to get hired as a blogger, then this must be obvious on your blog, and on every post you write – write several articles promoting each of your services. 4. Promote your blog Finally, it’s time to promote your blog. There are many ways in which you can promote your blog: with classified advertising, Pay Per Click advertising, and article marketing. How you choose to promote is up to you. However, do remember that you must promote your blog. So there you have four easy steps to making money with a sales blog. When you plan your blog for sales from the start, your blog will be profitable for you from the start. If you want to learn more about Blogging to make money you are definitely on the right place. Why Not To Create Your First Blog With A Free Host

December 10, 2009 by admin

Excited about blogging and wanted to create a blog for your own ? Heard lots of friends making money with their blog and want to start one too ? Well, I am happy on your decision to join the internet blogging community but there are several things you must know before rushing in to it. We will not be looking at what blogging software to use, there are basically a dozen good and popular ones out there, just select one that you feel is easy to learn and pickup, and perhaps ask around your friends what they are using can help you get a good recommendation as well as a start to ‘join the crowd’ too. We will be concentrating on comparing free and paid web hosting options for blogs. We know that any websites including a blog needs web hosting, and it is important for you to make the first step right otherwise you might suffer losing all your hard work later when you are considering of taking the blog to next level. Basically, you should understand what free blog hosting and paid web hosting is. Of course, anything that is free is always tempting, but you should know that there are no free lunch under the sun, people give out something in order to gain something out of it, there are no difference in any free blog hosting offerings you can find out there. In other words, you have to be crystal clear of what you are giving out when you decide to take that free offer and whether it is worth giving that out. • Different free Blog hosting offerings may have different tactics to tie you down to the service. Generally, these type of services are trying to make use of your content to generate advertising income, that means they will reserve a piece of real estate on every of your blog pages for their own use. • You may not be able to use your own domain name for your blog in most free blog hosting provider, and this can be a major problem for you as you do not have a unique identity to build your own website branding. You are going to lose your online identity when you want to transfer your blog elsewhere, because you cannot move a subdomain to another web host, or if the free blog hosting provider decide to exit the business. • Some popular free blog hosting are basically just a marketing tool for their open source program, they don’t put advertisement in your blog and they don’t allow you to put your own either, that means you are going to loose out plenty of cash if your blog gets popular someday, you have sacrificed the option to turn the traffic into cash while opt. for the free service initially. • Most of the free blog hosting uses a centralized blog program for easier management, that means you will not have the control over the blog program, for example adding plugins or extra modules of your choice to make your blog stand out from others, you will not have the control over the look and feel of your own blog either. Although, there are generally lots of choices of themes and templates available for you to choose, you may not have the option to use your own custom made theme. If you want to learn more about Blog Making Money you are definitely on the right place. Blog Making Money is one of the most effective ways to make money online. Reasons Why You Have To Have A WordPress Blog

December 10, 2009 by admin

So, let’s look at the top five reasons why you need a WordPress blog: 1. Blogs are User-Friendly and Very Easy to Use The upside to having blog software as opposed to a website is that it is very user-friendly. The blog uses a GUI, or a graphic-user interface, which means that that everything that you may need to do is laid out in simple to understand graphics. The blogging software also conforms to the standards of most other software programs. For example, the graphic icons you see in Microsoft Office programs are very similar to the graphics you’ll see inside of your blog. The reason that this is so important is that YOU can update your OWN website and you don’t need to pay high prices in web design fees to do so! There is no messing around with HTML code, you can avoid having a dull, lifeless site that people only visit occasionally and instead, you can update it yourself and give people a reason to return again and again and again. The other upside to this is that when you want something changed quickly, you can do so. You no longer have to wait on a web designer or a virtual assistant, you can just pop in to the dashboard and update the page you need to make changes to and click save and boom – you’re done! Making regular posts is also easy to do. In a few, short clicks and then some keystrokes for the body of your post, you can have fresh, new content on your blog immediately. If you’re feeling particularly creative one day, you can write a series of posts and save them all to post on future dates. For me, I will write eight or nine blog entries at a time and save them to post one or two days apart. This is also useful if you are going on vacation. In February, my husband and I went to the Dominican for a vacation and before I left, I wrote blog entries to cover the week I was gone and just posted them in advance. On the days that I specified, my blog entries showed up on the blog! 2. Blogs Are Easy to Navigate All blogs follow a fairly standard style of formatting and navigation. Although each template may look different, they all contain the same standard elements. When I visit a blog, I always know where to go to see Recent Posts. I also know that on the majority of blogs, I will be able to find a place to subscribe to the blogs feed. A feed is simply a syndication of your blog entries. That syndicated text is then sent out to your blog visitors feed readers and is sent out to the search engines, etc. This is part of the reason that blogging is so powerful in getting people to your site. Have you ever visited a website where every menu has been different and each sidebar contained different text depending on where you were on the website? Those types of websites are confusing and they don’t lead the website visitor where they should be going. With blogging software, it remains standard and is always updating itself. When you make a change on one sidebar, it automatically updates on every other sidebar which eliminates any sort of confusion for your website visitors. A great book I want to recommend is Steve Krug’s “Don’t Make Me Think.” Even if you don’t design websites, you want to read this book. A lot of the reasons that I love blogs are outlined in his usability section. He references making websites more functional by following his principles but what is so great is that a blog already conforms to many of his standards. 3. People Can Subscribe to Your Blog and Stay Current Now, I want to explain what RSS is first. RSS stands for Really Simple Syndication. What it is is a family of web feed formats used to publish frequently updated digital content, such as blogs, news feeds or podcasts. People who are into blogging will use your RSS feed to do a few things: – They may subscribe to receive a daily digest of new content. Think of how powerful this is in terms of keeping you in touch with your target market. If someone receives constant, updated messages from you, you are always in their line of sight and they will see what you are up to, new products or services you are launching and how much knowledge you have on your chosen subject. – They may also add you to their feed reader. I have a program that I use called Feed Demon and this software program tracks all of the blogs I am interested in by capturing and updating the feed that comes from the blog. Each day I can open up this software program and have an instant summary of every blog I have subscribed to and I can review what it is people are talking about. This allows me to stay current without having a thousand bookmarks in my internet browser or trying to remember which blogs I liked to read. The same is true for your visitors. They want a quick, easy way to be reminded that you exist and that you are posting things that they want to know about. Normal sites don’t do this for you unless you are putting out a monthly ezine that contains all of your business updates. By having the blog, you can nearly cut out the monthly ezine and just let the blog do the work for you! 4. Search Engines Love Them and They Are Content Managers In fact, it’s so easy to build content on your blog that I have actually created info-products based on content I had blogged about over the past year. Info-products become simple to do because you aren’t creating fresh, new content each and every time. What you blog about could become an article which could turn into an e-book. Blogging gets you into the habit of writing and creating which then allows you to easily and effortlessly create info-products. Your visitors will also love this for the reason that when they show up on your site looking for assistance in your chosen profession, they can find a whole archive of great content. Most of my blogging clients will archive their past newsletters or e-zines on their blogs so that their clients can read past issues without having to download PDFs or visit thirteen or fourteen different web pages. Search engines feel affection for blogs for a number of reasons. Number one, they love the fact that fresh, new content is being posted all of the time. Even if you are only updating it once a week, you will still see the benefits from it. Each and every time you post something to your blog, the search engines are automatically pinged and if you have pinging software installed, which is free and simple to use, it’ll automatically ping the different services that should be pinged. Number two, search engines love hyperlinks and trackbacks. Hyperlinks are links to other people’s websites, blog entries, audio files, etc. and track backs are special links from someone else’s blog entry that let the other person know you’ve blogged about him or her. It also posts YOUR entry on their site for other people to read. This is how blogging also becomes so viral. 5. They Become an Active Networking Source for Your Business For me, I have met a number of brand new people through my blog. Some of these people became clients, others were just frequent readers that became friends and others asked me to collaborate with them on special projects. By having a blog, you can become a place where people visit to learn about what it is you are writing about but also so that they can meet you, get to know you and someday work with you. You can build a community and allow other people to meet through you which then allows people to talk about you and get your name out there. If you think of standard networking, you think of people showing up to an event for about an hour, rushing through the crowds trying to get business cards and then leaving the event and never really having a true feeling of connection. I’m sure we’ve all experienced this. Blogging gives your interested parties a place to come to learn about you. They can start to see how you both would benefit from knowing each other and they will be more apt to approach you over time. This is a much more effective way to network and you don’t need to worry about your business card being thrown in the trash. One more way that it becomes a networking tool is when you reach out to other people’s blogs. Once you start blogging, you will quickly realize that the whole world is blogging and there are many great things to be read. By visiting other people’s blogs and leaving comments on their posts, you will do two things: one, you will introduce yourself in a non-threatening or non-imposing way to someone you may not have wanted to just e-mail in the past and two, by showing that you have interest in that subject on their blog, you’ll gain interested visitors who share similar interests. If you want to learn more about Blog Making Money you are definitely on the right place. Blog Making Money is one of the most effective ways to make money online.
